How
to reach Venice
If
you arrive at Marco Polo-Venice airport, you can reach Venice by...
Private
water taxi
The
fastest and more expensive is the water taxi that will take
you almost to the front steps of your accommodation.
Alilaguna
boat
The Alilaguna water bus will take you from the airport to S.
Marco (other stops are Fondamente Nuove, Arsenale and Zattere)
and it offers a pleasant way of getting into town. It takes
an hour and ten minutes and the fare is 15,00 Euros. The landings
of both the Alilaguna water bus and the water taxi are just
outside the arrivals hall at the airport.
Bus
& Vaporetti
If you don't want to get into Venice by way of the lagoon, you
can take the bus (it stop just outside the arrivals hall at
the airport) to Piazzale Roma which is as far as you can go
by car.
From here you can take a vaporetto ( number 1 is slower and
stops at every boat stop in the Grand Canal ; number 82 stops
only at the main boat stops ) to the stop closest to your apartment
where you will meet with one of our representatives. More
details on vaporetto routes
The
last leg of your trip, from the vaporetto stop to the apartment,
will be on foot.
If you arrive by train:
